What are those black streaks on my roof?
-
Those black streaks and stains aren’t just ugly, they are formed by bacteria that is feeding on your shingles. These organisms eat away at your shingles, causing your roof to deteriorate prematurely. Removing the algae, mold, mildew, and bacteria build-up will improve the life of your roof. Since replacing your roof can be costly, regularly cleaning your roof is a great way to increase its longevity.

What are the blue, green, and black stains on my house and siding?
-
Those stains are a combination of mold, dirt, pollen, and/or algae created by dampness. These areas are most often found on the north side of properties as they receive less sunlight due to the sun's position in the sky.

What is soft washing?
-
Soft washing uses a detergent for cleaning vinyl, wood, composite, metal, plastic, or any hard surface without the need for aggressive water techniques. This method poses less risk of damage to the surface material being cleaned.
-
-
When do you recommend using soft wash cleaning vs using pressure washing?
-
Our methods will depend mostly on the surface material we are cleaning and the age of the material. Our first priority is to protect surfaces from any unnecessary damage and our second priority is to present the best results by removing mold and algae.

How often should we clean the exterior of our house?
-
There are many factors such as weather, shade, rain, trees, and pollen that can alter this timeline. As a general rule of thumb, we recommend getting your roof/home cleaned every three or so years. However, we know this is unlikely so we recommend that our clients do a visual inspection at least once a year to determine if our services are required.
